human, earth, words

Abstract [en]

This book is written on the occasion of the Master Exhibition Among Pebbles and Diamonds at Galleri Mejan, Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm Sweden.

(10.12.2021- 19.12.2021)

human, earth, words examines the relationship between human, language, and earth, based on a dialectics that doesn’t strive to resolve, but strives to stay in a tension that holds a kind of creativity. The main focus of this book is on definition of 'human' and 'politics', in relation to the silent wounds and intergenerational traumas that live long after a catastrophe. The book unfolds the process of 'dehumanization' in which, 'words' become the mediator of violence, and [desert] a specific landscape on 'earth' becomes the designated site of punishment for the dehumanized 'human'.

The book is divided into three chapters: 'human', 'earth', and 'words', pointing at an interstice where is as political as it is poetic, and knowledge is never in view, but always in the gaps. Where poetic and political cannot be separated, poets are historians, poetry is necessarily political and the political is necessarily poetical. In this interstice: human is earth, earth is words, words are human.
