Painting takes place in a swing between times. A relationship is created between the surfaces, those that are painted and those that will be painted. But it also happens in the swing between times and bodies. In this essay I try to find a language that works for me. A way to think about / around and with the voices that are not included in the patriarchal representation of languages, words and themes. The Essay and my paintings for my graduation show Under Water, Where Suns Fade We meet are in a conversation between me and women from different times. They are found everywhere, in obvious places and sometimes more disappearing, barely noticeable. In order to get in touch with each other, we need to summon events that move away from a rational worldview. I therefore use the concept of falling. Because I think that the contact, between the women, can happen in or through the fall. I am part of them. An inheritance that is taken into the present through painting. The painting is, for me, to open portals towards the fall. Movements between the concrete and the abstract, both in painting and this text, are interlaced here to recapture the imaginary.
